ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented CNC Machinist/Programmer who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company.
CNC Machinist 1st Shift
Your main responsibilities will be:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance Understand, interpret, and edit HAAS G-code programming Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance and quality requirements Properly and safely load and unload castings and raw materials in CNC machinery Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the CNC machining equipment Maintain safety and quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration. Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment. Job Requirements:
HS diploma or GED and minimum of 1-3 years working directly in CNC machining shop Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given for HAAS machine experience G-Code programming experience Able to read & interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and technical specifications Knowledge of shop math with ability to perform basic mathematical computations Experience working with wide range of precision measuring equipment Familiar with the parts approval process and first article inspections Able to utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures
