Team Lead

Smartmart, a Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer, is looking for growth minded, sales oriented, and success driven individuals to join our Leadership Team. As a Team Lead at Smartmart, your role is to lead an extraordinary group of individuals as they seek to provide an exceptional client experience by educating and offering a complete assortment of Verizon Products and Services and guide clients through a simple yet thorough selection and buying process.

Position Summary:
The Team Lead position is the stepping stone in Smartmart Leadership team that involves both work assignments and training opportunities to prepare Team Leads for future management opportunities. In this role, Team Leads partner with upper management in overseeing all aspects involving sales and daily operations of a store.

Job Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) :

• Build, lead, and coach a team of sales associates to reach and surpass performance goals.
• Implement strategies within the store to drive foot traffic and increase sales.
• Collaborate with sales associates, team members and leadership to meet and exceed store sales goals.
• Address and resolve customer concerns and employee conflicts in a timely manner.
• Provide coverage for team members' shifts when necessary to maintain service levels.
• Use data and metrics to set and track both short-term and long-term sales targets for the store.
• Plan and implement store-level sales initiatives and contests to support sales goals.
• Train and coach team members on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Oversee day-to-day operational functions to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Time Management: Excellent scheduling and time management skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Adept at troubleshooting and using logic to resolve issues.
• Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Smartmart will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
• Reliable Transportation: Access to reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and adequate automobile insurance if travel between locations is required.
• Professional Appearance: Maintains a professional appearance in line with company standards.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check, as required by applicable law. A background check will be conducted in compliance with applicable laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-2 years in a retail sales management role.
• Management Experience: Previous experience managing retail stores and teams, with a history of achieving sales and operational goals.
