Sr. Digital Design Engineer

As a Digital Design Engineer in Austin TX, you will be part of a collaborative team developing high-performance mixed-signal IC's serving the world's top consumer electronics manufacturers. In this position, you will contribute to the design of SOCs controlled by ARM MCUs, serial communication interfaces, high-performance ADC's and DAC's, digital signal processing blocks, and other digital circuitry in advanced CMOS processes.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, required
• Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering, required
• PhD in electrical or computer engineering, preferred but not required
• 8+ years of proven experience in digital design engineering

Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment to create and engineer digital design subsystems from concept through to tape-out
• Convert subsystems into final designs for integration into the final product
• Support post-silicon activities including validation, characterization, and product test
• Design and develop a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks
• Solid understanding of high-level modeling tools like Simulink, Matlab, or similar
• Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture, Verilog RTL design, clock domain/reset domain crossing, verification, timing constraints, and synthesis
• Understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques
• Familiarity with FIR and IIR filter design
• Experience with mixed-signal design, simulation, verification, back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis
• Experience generating functional test vectors for PTE
• Strong lab / silicon validation skills, designing, verifying complex state-machines, and CMOS transistors
