Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate learning and development across various domains such as language, motor skills, social interaction, and creativity.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where children feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves.
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote curiosity, problem-solving, and independence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's development and address any concerns proactively.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
- Support children's emotional regulation through positive behavior management techniques and caregiving strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education and classroom management.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers or infants.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions among children.
- Ability to implement inclusive teaching strategies for children with disabilities or special needs.
- First aid certification and familiarity with emergency response procedures to ensure child safety.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
- Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is highly valued.
- Competency in classroom management tools and techniques to create an organized learning environment.
- Compassionate approach to childcare that emphasizes patience, empathy, and nurturing care.
