Salary: This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position at 232 days with a salary range from $81,352 - $88,729.
Job Summary (Primary Purpose):
- Provide audiological management services to eligible students and families in region 13 LEAs
- Collaborate with LEAs to assist them in meeting the audiological needs for students' access to auditory information in order to improve their academic performance.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Education/Certificates):
- Master's Degree in Hearing Science/Audiology
- Audiology license from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Education/Certificates):
- Ph.D. in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) preferred
- Three (3) years of experience (post supervised clinical practicum hours) as an audiologist preferred
- Experience in pediatric diagnostics/amplification and school settings preferred
- Group presentation skills preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with pediatric hearing aid fittings, FM/DM systems, bone anchored and cochlear implant devices
- Experience counseling families of children with hearing loss, and consultation with other professionals
- Knowledge of and experience with cultures and languages other than English; Spanish and/or sign language skills helpful
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle diverse daily tasks independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
- Provide audiological management services to eligible students and families in region 13 LEAs
- Collaborate with LEAs to assist them in meeting the audiological needs for students' access to auditory information in order to improve their academic performance
- Educate school staff on the need for and the proper use of hearing assistive technology
- Collaborate with and actively participate with ESC teams to improve student performance and to meet the established goals and objectives of the ESC and TEA
- Develop and conduct presentations and training to include alternate delivery models for small and large groups; contract and negotiate with outside consultants regarding needed training, develop needed resource materials related to audiology
- Develop, manage, and evaluate program plans and budgets; conduct project evaluation activities using appropriate data collection and analysis procedures
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Handle numerous daily tasks with a minimum of time and supervision, and work with detailed assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proficiency with AudioScan Verifit for HAT and hearing aid verification.
- Proficiency with PC computers to include desktop management, operations, and working on a network environment
- Proficiency with standard functions of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Proficiency with Canvas LMS, multimedia and editing software for the development of online courses and resources
- General office equipment to include copiers, printers, and video-conferencing equipment
Pay: $81, $88,729.00 per year
