We are seeking an energetic and experienced General Manager to lead our Extended Stay America Columbus property. . This pivotal role involves overseeing daily hotel functions, driving guest satisfaction, managing staff, and ensuring the property's financial success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hospitality expertise, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk management, guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage where applicable.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
  • Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy rates and profitability through effective pricing and promotional initiatives.
  • Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Maintain budgetary controls by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and implementing efficient operational procedures.
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Oversee night audit procedures, multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and front desk operations to ensure smooth guest check-in/out processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree – Hospitality/Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • A Certified Hospitality Administratordesignation is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 2+ years work experience. Proven supervising experience in hotel or resort management with a strong background in hospitality operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
  • Knowledge of revenue management techniques and budgeting practices within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and complaint resolution.
  • Experience with human resources functions including hiring, training, and staff development.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems, night audit procedures, front desk operations, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
