Welder

What You'll Do

• Weld broken tools, machine parts, jigs, and fixtures using appropriate welding methods.
• Operate automatic welding machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform TIG welding and aluminum brazing.
• Weld or braze components using oxy-acetylene, GTAW, GMAW, or other processes as needed.
• Set up work from prints, drawings, or fixtures and select welding sequences to minimize distortion.
• Ensure all welds are leak-proof and conduct final inspections of your work.
• Maintain bench stock supplies and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Apply basic machine skills and mechanical assembly techniques.
• Perform additional duties assigned to support production and maintenance needs.

What You'll Need

• Certified Welder (Required).
• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• 1–3 years of welding/fabrication experience preferred.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and blueprint reading.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment to perform duties safely and accurately.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 70 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods and bend/twist as required.
• Machine shop setting with potential exposure to dust, sand, and dirt.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
