About the Role

We are seeking a Project Controls Consultant
to support a
leading Data Center Owner/Developer
in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale mission-critical construction projects. This role provides critical oversight of
cost, schedule, and risk management
functions across a portfolio of hyperscale and colocation facilities in active development and expansion.

You will work closely with internal project managers, design teams, general contractors, and commissioning agents to ensure that capital programs are delivered
on time, within budget, and aligned with enterprise objectives
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze
    Primavera P6
    schedules for data center design and construction phases.
  • Establish and monitor
    cost control systems
    including forecasting, trending, and earned value metrics.
  • Support
    budget development, change management, and cost reporting
    at both the project and program level.
  • Provide independent analysis and reporting to
    executive leadership
    on project performance and risk exposure.
  • Conduct
    schedule risk assessments
    , delay analysis, and "what-if" scenario modeling.
  • Integrate schedule, cost, and risk data to produce
    portfolio-level dashboards and KPIs
    .
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop
    standardized reporting templates and governance frameworks
    .
  • Support construction phase controls including
    pay application validation, progress verification, and change triage
    .
  • Interface with external partners to align reporting cadence, deliverables, and expectations across multiple project teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years
    of experience in project controls, preferably on
    data center or mission-critical construction projects
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Primavera P6
    ,
    Power BI
    , and
    cost management platforms
    (EcoSys, Procore, PMWeb, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of
    EVM principles, DCMA 14-Point analysis, and schedule integrity checks
    .
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills—able to distill complex project data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with
    commissioning (Cx), procurement sequencing, and long-lead equipment tracking
    in data center environments.
  • PMP, PSP, or CCP certification is a plus.
