Your Responsibilities

As a
Part Time Student- Manufacturing Engineering
for
John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group
located in
Fargo, North Dakota
you will:

• Identify and implement cost reductions, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
• Update line layouts in CAD
• Develop and support Factory Automation programs to control assembly fixtures
• Develop and support vision systems
• Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
• Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing

What Skills You Need

• Understanding of various functions of manufacturing
• Good interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university/college
• Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Available to work 12-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
• Available to work 30-40 hours/weekly during the summer semester
• Must be able to commute to the designated work location in Fargo, ND, on a weekly, daily, as-needed basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)
• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Automation Engineering; others may apply

• Basic knowledge of databases
