Position Overview

Catalyst Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Analyst to support our internal financial operations. This role is responsible for monitoring and reporting on internal expenses, sales commissions, departmental budgets, and project-level cash flows. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable with financial data, and skilled at turning information into insights that support strategic decision-making within a fast-moving consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and report internal operating expenses across departments.

• Calculate and verify sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and on-time distribution.

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and analyzing annual and quarterly budgets.

• Monitor project-specific cash flows, providing updates on inflows, outflows, profitability, and forecasts.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for management.

• Support financial planning and forecasting activities through data modeling and scenario analysis.

• Maintain and refine internal financial tracking tools, spreadsheets, and reporting frameworks.

• Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership teams to gather data and ensure financial alignment.

• Identify opportunities to optimize spending, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar roles.

• Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with financial modeling preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial teams.

• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Experience with accounting or CRM systems is a plus.
