Job Description
Join an inspiring team to use new technologies and develop systems to automate testing of our hardware and software products to ensure a high quality standard. Microchip provides its own tools for embedded development and it is key to have an energetic team to provide the quality our customers should expect.
You will take manual processes and adapt them for automation to improve speed and efficiency. You will be working alongside teams to provide automated testing frameworks for fast feedback during development cycles. This involves creating test pipelines, automated scripts, and tool libraries for various products that will be released. You will be working with automation tools such as CICD systems and containerization to heavily automate test infrastructure.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree is required
- 0-3 years of experience:
- Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller architecture
- Knowledge of programming in Java/C/C++ and assembly language
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python and Perl
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Include
- Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira and source control management such as Git
- Experience with frontend and backend web application fundamentals including MySQL, PHP, HTML, JavaScript
- Knowledge of the Agile software development framework
. Knowledge of working with programmers and debuggers in development work with embedded microcontrollers
- Knowledge with the NetBeans and Eclipse IDE platforms
- Knowledge with Visual Studio Code
Knowledge developing acceptance tests using software testing tools
- Knowledge using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins to maintain, develop and deploy test suite software into a working production test pipeline
