Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, sheet metal, and pipe fabrication, with proficiency in various welding techniques. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication and assembly processes in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding techniques on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Fabricate components by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding metal parts according to specifications.
• Use rigging and crane operations to move heavy materials or assemblies safely around the worksite or shop floor.
• Perform pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks as required for project completion.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with construction site fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; welding experience preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including rigging, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly processes.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
