Little Ghost Ferndale, younger sibling to Grey Ghost in Detroit, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic culinary team. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining service, acting as a liaison between the kitchen staff and our guests. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the culinary arts and hospitality, who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to our guests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Help maintain high standards of food presentation and quality before serving.
• Communicate effectively with cooks and guests to ensure all orders are fulfilled correctly.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff during peak service times.
• Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Operating the POS, ringing sales and accepting payments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation processes is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
