Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Direct Care Financial Management (DCFM) by delivering high-quality financial database management, reporting, and business intelligence analysis. This role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to quickly respond to ad hoc data requests while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate data analysis and reporting efforts within DCFM, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery.
  • Manage and mentor analysts supporting database and reporting initiatives.
  • Handle ad hoc data requests, building quick-turn analyses and visualizations for decision-makers.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance databases to meet evolving reporting requirements.
  • Extract and analyze data from financial systems (e.g., GFEBS) to support briefings, audits, and strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate and track data calls across teams and leadership groups.
  • Prepare financial and accounting system reports to support executive decision-making.
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with GFEBS, DEAMS, or similar ERP financial systems
  • 3+ years of experience with financial reporting and/or data analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling)
  • Experience using Power BI, SQL, or similar data tools strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team, including coaching and workload management
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field

Security Clearance/Investigation:

  • T-3 Investigation/Tier II
