Position Overview

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and driving sales. You will educate customers on products, handle transactions, restock inventory, and help maintain a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers and provide knowledgeable product guidance
• Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences
• Stay informed on new arrivals, trending items, and product features
• Process sales quickly and accurately using POS system

Store Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store
• Restock shelves and ensure products are displayed correctly
• Receive and check in inventory shipments
• Assist with opening/closing procedures

Compliance & Safety

• Verify customer age (21+) for all tobacco, vape, and hemp-related products
• Follow state and local regulations regarding product sales
• Maintain accurate cash handling and adhere to store policies

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older (Texas tobacco law)
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of smoke shop products (vapes, glass, cigars, delta/hemp) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation to and from the McKinney location

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
