Position Title: Forensic Nurse / Nurse Practitioner

Duration: Open Ended

Work Schedule: Days and Shift timings - Ability to work any shift, any day of the week, to include weekends.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs medical forensic examinations of minor children and adolescents reporting abuse and neglect.
• Performs medical forensic examinations of adolescents and adults reporting sexual assault, domestic violence, strangulation or other interpersonal violence.
• Assesses the status of the patient and addresses acute medical concerns and stabilization of the patient; completes thorough medical history, assault history and a detailed physical examination, including systems review and developmental status.
• Collects evidence, samples, and labs as needed during the medical forensic exam.
• Manages patient care
• Conducts counseling regarding sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy, injury care, and strangulation dangers, and patient and family safety.
• Administers preventative medications.

Required:

• SANE-A Certification
• Ability to travel to all Pinal County Family Advocacy Centers (San Tan Valley, Eloy, Maricopa, and Oracle) and arrive within 90 minutes of the time of the request
• Preferred Qualifications:
• SANE-P certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pay: $ $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
