We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in electrical systems, harness fabrication, and high-voltage technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret complex schematics, work with high-voltage DC systems, troubleshoot issues in the field, and collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Marine industry experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
• Harness Fabrication:
Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing electrical wiring harnesses for automotive, marine, or industrial applications.
• Schematic Interpretation & BOM Management:
Ability to read and fully understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams.
Use Bill of Materials (BOM) to identify components and place orders for parts required for system builds.
• High Voltage DC Systems:
Work with high-voltage DC architectures, including safety protocols, interlocks, insulation checks, and high-power distribution.
• CAN & NMEA2000 Communication:
Experience configuring, analyzing, and troubleshooting CAN Bus networks and NMEA2000 communication systems.
• Power Conversion Systems:
Understanding and hands-on experience with:
• High-voltage DC-to-AC inverters
• DC-to-3-phase motor drives
• DC-to-DC converters
• Battery chargers, battery packs, and related energy storage components.
• Diesel Engines & ECU Integration:
Experience working with John Deere diesel engines, including wiring, control interfaces, and Engine Control Units (ECUs).
• DC Distribution & Precharge Circuits:
Knowledge of DC distribution systems, contactors, relays, protection devices, and precharge circuit design and testing.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Strong capability to diagnose electrical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for both low-voltage and high-voltage systems.
Preferred Skills
• Marine systems experience (optional but highly preferred).
• Ability to draft and update engineering documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, test reports).
• Familiarity with safety standards for high-voltage systems.
• Experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, CAN analyzers).
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
