ABOUT MUSIC EVOLVED RECORDS (MER)
Music Evolved Records (MER) is a growing entertainment, events, education, and digital media company operating across music, touring, brand licensing, and intellectual property. As we continue to scale, we are building a budget-conscious on-call legal bench and are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to support us strictly on a project and dispute basis.

This is not a full-time or monthly retainer position. This role only activates if and when disputes arise.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The On-Call Litigation Attorney will advise and represent MER in pre-litigation and dispute-related matters including contract disputes, IP issues, employment claims, vendor conflicts, and demand letter responses. This is a strictly project-based role designed for solo practitioners or boutique firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide pre-litigation legal advice and risk assessment
Draft and respond to demand letters and cease-and-desist notices
Advise on contract disputes involving sponsors, venues, vendors, and artists
Support intellectual property enforcement and defense
Advise on employment and independent contractor disputes
Represent MER in mediation or arbitration when required
Escalate matters to court only when absolutely necessary
Coordinate directly with MER's Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and leadership

REQUIREMENTS
Active U.S. Bar License
3–7 years of litigation experience in business, contract, IP, or employment disputes
Strong experience with demand letters and settlement negotiations
Ability to work on a strictly on-call, project-based schedule
Professional liability (malpractice) insurance required

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate (Only When Activated)
$150 – $225 per hour

Flat-Fee Pre-Litigation Work
$500 – $1,200 per demand letter, response, or settlement negotiation

If Formal Litigation Is Filed
$2,500 – $6,000 per case for early-stage litigation and motions, depending on complexity
