Caregiver for the elderly

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Monitor and document vital signs, health status, and any changes in condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
• Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage clients in social activities that promote cognitive function and memory care.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient monitoring.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions is a plus.
• Strong observational skills for monitoring patient behavior and health changes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
