The PE Administrative Assistant 4 is to provide front desk personnel duties at PE Headquarters including but not limited to greeting and assisting visitors and customers, answering and directing phone calls and maintaining payroll data entry.
This position serves as the first point of contact at PE Headquarters offering dynamic and varied interactions with a wide range of people.

Minimum QualificationsThree years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other InformationProviding support to PE Headquarters staff by greeting and assisting visitors and customers, answering and directing phone calls and maintaining payroll data entry as well as performing other duties as requested.
Work for Prison Enterprises is an ancillary "Enterprise Fund", operating entirely on a self-generated revenue with a staff of approximately 67, operating over 30 individual cost centers at 7 correctional facilities across this State, along with a Headquarters location in Baton Rouge. This position is vital in providing essential support to the accounting department.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
- Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
- An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
- This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
