Title: Learning Delivery Specialist - Trainer - Banking / Credit Union / Financial Services
Position Status – Full Time, Non-exempt (hourly)
Reports To: AVP Talent Resources and Development
Target starting pay range: $ $29.84 per hour

The Learning Delivery Specialist plays a substantial role in the development of APCU Center Parc team members. The Learning and Development specialist focuses on effective delivery and follow-up of training programs and curriculums.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for team members; ensure that learning objectives of each training event are met.
- Utilize interactive methods such as situational challenges, role play, case studies, and small group discussions to reinforce learning objectives and increase participant engagement.
- Recognize and act upon the need to adjust delivery style in consideration of participant feedback and reaction, participant dynamics, and your knowledge of the various adult learning styles.
- Convey educational content in a variety of modalities including face-to-face (in-person), hybrid, and online formats.
- As required, ensure the administration of any established or required test before and after training that are meant to measure knowledge gain.
- Gather feedback from participants through surveys and follow-up discussions to assess the effectiveness of a training session; Report out on findings and any recommended changes.
- As requested, collaborate with Learning Business Partners, department heads, and other subject matter experts to identify changes, edits, or improvements to training materials.
- Distribute job aids, training summaries, reference materials, or any other type of resource used to reinforce learning objectives and improve on-the-job implementation of training content, processes or procedures.
- Participate in the delivery of new-hire training, new-hire orientation, product knowledge, and compliance training.
- As required or directed, provide one-on-one coaching and feedback to learners; make recommendations for re-training or augmented training when team members are having difficulty in mastery of the required skills and behaviors or in following processed and procedures.
- Track attendance for training sessions; provide attendance information to the Learning Development Specialist or other designated department administrator.
- Inform team members about available training sessions and programs and encourage participation and the benefits of participation.
- Promote a culture of ongoing professional development and skill enhancement
- Effectively use written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence.
- Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.
- Travel associated with this role less than 10%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. May manage day-to-day tasks through indirect reporting relationships or through a matrixed management approach and the ability to collaboratively interact with internal and external partners.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, instructional design, learning systems or other directly related field of study
- 3 years prior experience, planning, facilitating, implementing adult learning sessions
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles
- Ability to travel locally between branches and estimated 5% to 10% overnight to branches
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or Experience:
- 2 years direct experience delivering training in a Credit Union environment
- One or more training professional certifications such as CTP,CTDP, CPTM, COLF, etc.
- Familiarity with e-learning tools and presentation software
Physical Job Requirements:
Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 25 pounds.
