As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company specifications for quality and safety. You will oversee quality control processes, manage quality assurance programs, and lead a team to maintain and improve product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control
· Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
· Establish and maintain quality specifications for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
· Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
· Investigate and address any deviations from quality standards, including non-conformances and out-of-specification results.
- Quality Assurance
· Develop and maintain a quality management system (QMS) to support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality procedures and regulations.
· Manage documentation control processes, including the review and approval of SOPs, batch records, and other quality documents.
· Coordinate with regulatory affairs to ensure timely submission of product registrations, notifications, and other regulatory filings.
- Team Leadership and Management
· Lead and supervise the QA/QC team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
· Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the QA/QC department.
· Provide guidance and support to resolve any quality-related issues or challenges.
- Supplier and Vendor Management
· Establish quality agreements with suppliers and vendors to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality materials and services.
· Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards.
· Manage the approval and qualification of new suppliers and vendors.
- Regulatory Compliance
· Stay informed about changes in regulations, guidelines, and industry standards related to dietary supplements.
· Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure that manufacturing processes and product formulations are in compliance.
· Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
- Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and quality enhancements.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
· Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, regulatory affairs, and sales, to support product development, manufacturing, and distribution activities.
· Communicate quality-related issues, trends, and initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
· Serve as a subject matter expert on quality-related matters and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred).
Previous experience in a quality assurance/quality control role in the dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for dietary supplements (e.g., FDA regulations, GMP guidelines).
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality control testing methods.
Familiarity with quality assurance principles, including risk management, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the work area for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, as required.
Ability to work in an environment that involves exposure to dust, odors, noise, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and temperature variations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
