At Kubrick, we partner with leading organisations to modernise their data platforms and prepare for the age of AI. We're seeking a Databricks Associate Director to shape, lead, and scale our Databricks capability in the US. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with commercial influence and strategic partner engagement.

As an Databricks Associate Director, you will:

  • Drive the evolution of Kubrick's US Databricks proposition—across delivery models, commercial positioning, training, and go-to-market strategy
  • Provide hands-on technical assurance for complex Databricks deployments, ensuring performance, governance, and security across highly regulated industries
  • Lead client engagements from presales to delivery, shaping solutions that maximise business value whilst managing risk
  • Act as a strategic partner—co-leading our relationship with Databricks, supporting joint initiatives, and co-developing reusable IP to accelerate adoption
  • Mentor and upskill internal teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in data engineering and AI solutions

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Own and evolve Kubrick's Databricks strategy in the US, ensuring alignment with client needs and partner collaboration
  • Shape presales and solution design activities, including architecture, proofs of concept, and proposals
  • Oversee solution assurance and provide escalation support on critical deployments
  • Collaborate across practices to deliver AI, advanced analytics, and platform solutions powered by Databricks
  • Develop and scale accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets to drive consistent client impact
  • Govern delivery outcomes, tracking progress, protecting margins, and maintaining quality

What we're looking for (Databricks Essential):

  • Proven experience designing, leading, and assuring Databricks implementations in production (cloud, hybrid, on-premises)
  • Strong track record in cloud-native deployments
  • Ability to lead teams, resolve challenges, and communicate confidently with stakeholders from engineers to senior executives
  • Commercial acumen—supporting presales, shaping solutions, managing risk, and articulating Databricks' business value
  • Commitment to mentoring and building internal capability around Databricks
  • Deep knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and modern data engineering practices
  • Experience in consulting or enterprise environments, working across multidisciplinary teams
  • Broader exposure to modern data platforms (Snowflake, Starburst, Power BI, Azure, AWS, Python)
  • Experience with AI/ML solutions leveraging Databricks
  • Understanding of multi-platform ecosystems where Databricks is one element of a wider technology landscape

What Kubrick offers:

We are a fast moving and fast growth business which is doing something seriously innovative and valuable. We already have a very supportive, diverse and appreciative client base, giving us stable foundations enabling us to keep working to high standards as we continue to grow. We also offer:

  • A competitive salary & bonus
  • Healthcare, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401k program / company match
  • Option to purchase additional voluntary benefits
  • Access to upskilling opportunities and clear progression path

We offer a hybrid working environment with a requirement 2-3 days a week/client meetings and home working
