We're a family-operated catering company in Mount Shasta looking for a skilled, reliable, and creative Baker to join our team for seasonal, part-time, and project-based work.

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who loves crafting delicious, beautiful baked goods for intimate gatherings, retreats, and special occasions — and thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment.

What You'll Do:

– Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and baked goods according to our recipes and quality standards.
– Measure and scale ingredients accurately for consistent flavor and texture.
– Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout your shift.
– Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure every item meets our quality expectations.
– Assist with prepping ingredients for the next day (doughs, batters, fillings, toppings, etc.).
– Restock ingredients and baking supplies as needed.
– Package baked goods neatly and label items when required.
– Support the team during busy periods and jump in where needed—FOH plating, BOH prep, or cleaning tasks.
– Communicate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen flow and timely production.

– Passionate about food and hospitality.
– Warm, approachable, and professional with clients and guests.
– Self-motivated and dependable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
– Flexible and comfortable with changing event schedules.
– Experienced in vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly cooking.

Qualifications:
– 2+ years of professional cooking experience (private chef, restaurant, or catering).
– Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple courses/timelines.
– Food Handler's Certification preferred.

Hours & Pay:
– Part-time, seasonal, and project-based, depending on event bookings.
– ~$20/hour or per-project rate based on experience.
