About The Smith

The Smith is an extremely popular casual neighborhood brasserie – in fact, several of our locations are among the Top 100 busiest restaurants in the US The menu features bistro classics, seasonal fare, and craft cocktails. The Position: General Manager

Our team is seeking a talented General Manager with a strong team orientation, a love of delicious food, and a commitment to excellent service. The GM must be committed to supporting an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture. GMs will help drive restaurant operation they get pleasure out of making others happy, managing projects, and actively sharing feedback. This is the perfect role for someone who can work in a fast-paced environment while still managing daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations with a strong floor presence and a guest-first mindset
  • Champion a culture of hospitality, accountability, and growth across FOH and BOH teams
  • Coach, develop, and inspire team members to grow and perform at their best
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards, guest recovery, and team communication
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management for FOH staff
  • Drive profitability through labor management, cost controls, and strong P&L fluency
  • Maintain accurate schedules, systems, and compliance with all workplace and safety standards
  • Partner with the CDC, Corporate Beverage Director, and L&D team to support food and beverage knowledge, training, and service consistency
  • Represent the brand in the restaurant and in the neighborhood through marketing, feedback response, and local partnerships
  • Support seamless execution of events and private dining experiences

  • You have 5+ years of Restaurant Management experience in fast-paced, high-volume restaurants.

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
