Audit Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Senior to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial audits for the Consumer Products Group (CPG), ensuring adherence to audit standards and internal policies
• Evaluate internal controls and financial reporting processes to identify risks and control weaknesses
• Communicate audit findings clearly, including actionable recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Monitor industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks affecting the consumer products sector
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines
• Stay current on changes in accounting standards and regulatory updates impacting the CPG team
• Support junior auditors through guidance, training, and knowledge sharing
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and maintain detailed documentation of all procedures and evidence
• Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies, proposing improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 2+ years of public audit experience
• Consumer products or related industries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA preferred
