Oakley Industries Sub Assembly Division, Inc. is an automotive supplier with seven plants in the Midwest area including the United States and Canada. We assemble wheels and tires in our plants and ship them in sequence to our customers.
We currently have a need for Production Supervisor at our plant in Hazel Park, Michigan.
Summary/Objective
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of tire and wheel assemblies. This role leads and supports a team, driving productivity goals while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and customer delivery schedules. The Production Supervisor monitors performance metrics, addresses production issues in real time, coordinates with maintenance and quality teams, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and accountability on the plant floor.
Job Functions
Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.
Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
Follows established IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 procedures.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
Ensure effective and efficient production operations. Provides direction in resolving production issues through problem solving and delegation.
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
Perform accident investigations.
Manage department priorities.
Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, provincial, state and federal government regulations.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Good oral and written communication skills.
Three to five years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
Must have valid driver's license to drive Oakley vehicle.
Computer proficiency, including MS Office is preferred.
