Role Summary

The PRN Pharmacist provides patient-centered care and manages pharmacy staff. We are looking for flexible availability specifically for day(s) during the week

Hourly Wage
$65/hr - $75/hr

Hours of Operation

Mon - Friday : 8:30am - 6pm

Sat : Closed

Sun: Closed

Role Responsibilities

  • 5+ years experience in the practice of pharmacy
  • Has Knowledge of Pioneer Rx Software (not required, but a plus)
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Preparing, dispensing, and selling prescriptions and pharmacy-related products
  • Providing counseling, education, and excellent customer service to patients
  • Consulting with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions
  • Monitoring the storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals
  • Submitting appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement
  • Maintaining records of all transactions as required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Documenting and reporting medication errors
  • Complying with all federal and state laws applicable to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and understanding and following HIPAA guidelines
  • Properly securing and maintaining controlled substances and complying with legal requirements for pseudoephedrine sales
  • Properly disposing of hazardous waste drugs
  • Complying with Medicare Durable Medical Equipment guidelines
  • Overseeing return to stock processing and following recall procedures
  • Complying with Continuing Medical Education (CME) Fraud, Waste, and Abuse
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
  • Supervise/assist technicians, interns, and students
  • Conduct POC tests (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol)
  • Provide consultations/recommendations upon patient requests
  • Offer/conduct MTM services to patients with chronic disease states
  • Administer vaccines approved to be administered by pharmacists
  • Administrate off-site immunization clinics for flu, pneumonia, COVID, and zoster
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and healthy environment

Qualifications

  • Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy;
  • Successful completion of state pharmacy board examination;
  • Pharmacist license current and in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy;
  • 5+ years experience in the practice of pharmacy
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization
  • Not on the Officer of Inspector General Excluded Parties List
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
  • Must have full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Proficiency in Spanish, strongly preferred.

  • Ability to build relationships and network
  • Strong computer skills to operate pharmacy management software and other necessary programs
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding pharmacy
