Overview
We are looking for a Front Desk Medical Associate with experience and a willingness to learn and grow within our workers' compensation healthcare team. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficient operation of our medical office by providing excellent administrative support and patient care. At this time our top priority is finding someone who is bilingual in Spanish and English.
Experience
- Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably in a front desk or administrative role.
Responsibilities
- Explain treatment plans to patients and ensure they follow up with their physical therapy and chiropractic treatments.
- Review authorizations and medical charts related to physical therapy and chiropractic care.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments for all medical providers, including surgeries for the Podiatrist, and send reminders to patients.
- Process payments for treatments and medical forms.
- Answer phone calls and emails from patients and communicate with the office team and providers.
- Maintain an organized and smoothly running front desk and office.
- Confirm patients' appointments and prepare charts for doctors.
- Welcome patients and provide Spanish translation when needed.
- Write disability letters for doctors.
- File and scan all prescriptions and superbills.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues that may arise with patients or administrative tasks.
- Confidentiality: Maintaining patient privacy and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish
