We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery, including conveyor belts, forklifts, automated systems, and other material handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for someone passionate about keeping our warehouse running smoothly and safely. Your technical skills are essential to our supply chain's success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sorters, lifts, and forklifts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely, as needed, to access equipment for maintenance.
- Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in warehouse equipment maintenance.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our logistics infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of various types of warehouse machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
- Commitment to upholding strict safety standards.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
