In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or order lists.
- Locate items in the warehouse efficiently, ensuring correct product and quantity.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify order accuracy before handing off for further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues with merchandise to your supervisor.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
- Contribute to team goals by working collaboratively and supporting colleagues in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks, handling items up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics is a plus.
