In this role, you will be responsible for verifying order accuracy, ensuring proper packaging, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. Your attention to detail is crucial for maintaining shipment integrity and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. Safety is a top priority in our facility; therefore, adherence to all safety procedures and the consistent use of required PPE are mandatory. While this role is primarily administrative, it may involve some light lifting and movement of packages. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping documentation.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and carriers regarding shipment status.
- Assist with light lifting and handling of packages as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Reliable and punctual.
