We are looking for a diligent and efficient Order Picker to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your speed and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will navigate the warehouse using pick lists or electronic scanning devices, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Safety is paramount in our warehouse; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of PPE are mandatory. This role involves significant walking, reaching, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips or scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders in designated areas for shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other light warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders immediately.
- Be prepared for repetitive lifting and movement throughout the shift.
- Support the overall logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for counting and verification.
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable with walking, standing, and reaching for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
