Our Grand Rapids, Michigan distribution center is hiring Picker/Packers! This role is essential for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from inventory, inspecting them for quality, and carefully packing them for shipment. Success in this role requires speed, accuracy, and a commitment to following established procedures within our busy logistics environment. Your contribution directly impacts customer satisfaction and our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order fulfillment instructions.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Verify order contents against packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including some moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or general warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for using scanning equipment or order systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Willingness to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Strong commitment to Safety procedures.
