Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual looking for a rewarding career? We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our bustling distribution center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A keen understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. You will ensure that all movements of goods are conducted with the utmost care to prevent damage and maintain a secure work environment. This position demands attention to detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards. Your contributions are key to our smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately locating and stacking products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions, to ensure Safety for all personnel.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Must be comfortable with frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Participate in regular safety training and demonstrate a strong understanding of material handling best practices.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and management to meet operational targets within our logistics network.
- Follow all guidelines related to proper handling and storage of various types of goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform duties including Lifting and maneuvering in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
