We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date and accurate. This involves physical counting, data entry, and investigating any variances. Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom is also part of your duties to ensure efficient operations and Safety . Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. This role is fundamental to our Logistics and requires a commitment to accuracy and adherence to company procedures, including safe Lifting practices and the use of PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately record inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and report any stock shortages or overages.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment.
- Identify damaged or expired goods and process them according to company policy.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss inventory performance.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate PPE and follow safe Lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role. Proficiency in using inventory management software and scanners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting up to 40 lbs. Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles. Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE . Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
