We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse team in San Jose, California. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick and assemble customer orders from warehouse shelves. This involves reading order slips, locating items, and using hand-held scanners or other technology to ensure precision. You will also be responsible for packing items securely for shipment and preparing orders for delivery. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is crucial for efficiency and Safety . The ability to work diligently and meet productivity targets is essential. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations and requires individuals who are reliable, efficient, and committed to accuracy. Proper use of PPE is required at all times, and knowledge of safe Lifting practices is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Locate merchandise within the warehouse and transport it to the packing station.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify order accuracy before finalizing and staging for delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use designated PPE for all tasks.
- Understand and apply safe Lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Capability for frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory management. Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE . Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
