We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Boise, Idaho. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products efficiently and safely throughout the facility. Your expertise will ensure smooth workflow and timely handling of goods, directly impacting our **Logistics** operations. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse **Safety** procedures, and the ability to work diligently in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any issues. Adherence to all **PPE** requirements is non-negotiable. This position involves significant **Lifting** and requires physical stamina and a keen awareness of your surroundings to prevent accidents. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with materials and products.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure proper **Lifting** techniques are used for all materials.
- Adhere to all warehouse **Safety** rules and regulations.
- Wear required **PPE** at all times while operating equipment and in designated areas.
- Organize and stack materials neatly in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the **Logistics** department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse **Safety** practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting**.
- Familiarity with required **PPE**.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of **Logistics** processes.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
