We are seeking a versatile and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is essential for managing the smooth flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and processing outgoing orders, including picking, packing, and preparing them for shipment. Additionally, you will maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the shipping and receiving areas. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount; all associates are required to adhere to safety protocols and correctly use PPE. The position requires the ability to perform lifting of materials and packages weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience with forklifts and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels accurately.
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Comply with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to support logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in WMS and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
