Join our vibrant team in Portland, Oregon, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves, verifying them against order details, and carefully packaging them for shipment. Precision, speed, and a strong commitment to safety are key attributes for success in this position. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the satisfaction of our customers through timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse stock using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against customer orders for accuracy.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit, ensuring no damage.
- Prepare shipments for carrier pickup, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Adhere to performance standards for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of items, often requiring moderate effort.
- Understand and implement warehouse safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse roles is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Skilled in careful handling of products during picking and packing.
- Proficiency in performing tasks involving lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and using PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
