Join our busy fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois, as an Order Picker. This role is crucial for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders, ensuring timely delivery and high satisfaction levels. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specified items for orders, using RF scanners or other provided technology. Your attention to detail and speed are vital to our logistics operations. We foster a culture of safety, and all team members are expected to strictly adhere to safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity to enter the dynamic world of e-commerce and logistics, with potential for growth within our organization. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are proficient in all aspects of order picking and warehouse operations. This position requires physical activity, including significant walking and the ability to handle moderate lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on customer orders.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to identify and retrieve products.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing department.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any picking errors or discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
