You will be instrumental in ensuring that products are handled efficiently and accurately, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The job involves regular lifting and requires you to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Your role is critical to the success of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Sort, organize, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements or internal requests.
- Pack items carefully for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles.
- Operate manual and powered equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workload and potential issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
