We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is vital for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport materials to designated areas. A strong commitment to safety is non-negotiable; adherence to all company procedures and the consistent use of PPE is required. This position demands excellent coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks that may involve significant lifting and maneuvering of product. A comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics and safe operating practices is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately.
- Transport inventory between storage areas, shipping docks, and other warehouse locations.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Assist in maintaining organized and efficient warehouse storage.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize all required PPE , including safety glasses, vests, and appropriate footwear.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Perform other warehouse tasks and general labor as required, including potential lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including some heavy lifting .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
