We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our growing team in Provo, Utah. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods and the final checkpoint for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, stocking materials, and preparing outgoing orders for transport. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and the correct use of PPE . This position requires physical activity, including regular lifting of packages and materials, as well as standing and moving for extended periods. You will be trained on various warehouse equipment and procedures. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and label outgoing orders accurately.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (if applicable).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
