We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our growing logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and contribute to the overall productivity of our distribution center. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and strict adherence to Safety protocols are essential. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating reach trucks and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure accurate inventory placement and retrieval. This position requires focus, precision, and a dedication to operational excellence. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient movement of goods, maintaining the orderliness of storage areas, and participating in inventory counts. Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times. This role involves significant operator duties and may require occasional moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs) when transitioning items or performing checks. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement and location updates.
- Conduct routine inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for optimal efficiency.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in the warehouse.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Knowledge of forklift Safety and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety standards and using PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Familiarity with logistics procedures is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
