Join our growing warehouse team as a Forklift Operator in Boise, Idaho! This role is central to our Logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement and storage of materials. You will operate forklifts to manage inventory, load and unload trucks, and support various warehouse functions. We emphasize Safety above all else, and adherence to all protocols, including the consistent use of PPE, is mandatory. The ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and effectively to move, stack, and retrieve materials and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and handled with care.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse and distribution center.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counting and put-away of stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Engage in tasks requiring regular and substantial Lifting of materials, up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Participate in all mandatory Safety training sessions and remain vigilant for potential hazards.
- Ensure all movements are conducted with the utmost attention to Safety and operational efficiency.
- Utilize and maintain all assigned PPE as per company and site requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management systems.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and perform other physical demands such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
