We are hiring an Order Picker to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. This role is fundamental to our distribution center's success, as you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items to fulfill customer orders. Your tasks will include navigating the warehouse, identifying correct products using order lists or scanning technology, and ensuring items are prepared for the next stage of processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses the physical stamina required for this demanding role. A commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to operational procedures are essential. Prior experience in a warehouse or picking role is a strong advantage, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick orders accurately.
- Locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing or further processing.
- Maintain accurate counts of picked items.
- Keep the picking area clean and organized.
- Adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and frequently Lifting up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to upholding all Safety standards and wearing the required PPE .
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
