We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This role is critical to the maintenance and operational efficiency of our warehouse and logistics infrastructure. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and effectively. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is beneficial. Safety is paramount; you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve lifting and moving equipment components. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, sorters).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct safety checks and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Respond to equipment downtime emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform lifting and moving of equipment parts as necessary.
- Contribute to the overall reliability and efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform lifting and manual tasks.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are highly desirable.
