We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our Houston, Texas operations. In this role, you will support our logistics team by accurately tracking inventory, managing stock locations, and assisting with receiving and put-away processes. Your responsibilities will include data entry, performing physical counts, and maintaining the integrity of our inventory records. A key aspect of this role is ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all inventory-related tasks. We prioritize safety, and all employees must follow stringent safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to perform lifting of inventory items as needed, usually up to 25 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Receive incoming goods and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Assist with the put-away of stock to designated locations.
- Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies.
- Generate inventory reports as requested.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Perform lifting duties as required, generally up to 25 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
