Seeking a diligent Picker/Packer for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. A strong focus on detail, speed, and accuracy is essential. We emphasize a safe working environment, requiring all employees to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform regular lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence within the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and using required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
